This is #757 of 1000 copies printed on velin de ruysscher, published by Éditions Émile-Paul (Paris) in 1958, of “Nouvelles Petites Fleurs de Saint François d’ Assise”, by Claire and Yvan Goll, with illustrations by Salvador Dali.
The half title page has a note to the bibliophile René Zierer and his wife, signed Claire. Zierer’s bookplate is on the front end page. The only other extraneous element is a pencil notation, above the bookplate, noting that this is a signed first edition. The cover is under the original glassine wrap, which has shallow edge wear and a small tear to the front, but which is in very good overall condition.
The cover itself is slightly tanned to its borders, but otherwise fine. The only notable internal flaw is a shallow tear at the inside top edge of the first few leaves, a result of those pages not having been completely cut. This is barely noticeable. The pages are clean throughout, with the Salvador Dali illustrations and all text as new. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages.
The accompanying photos are of this copy.
