This is the limited first printing, by Richard Brukenfeld, 1955, of Gregory Corso’s “the vestal lady on brattle and other poems” (35 numbered pages).
The soft cover (5.835″ x 8.835″) has a repaired tear to the lower outside corner, stains to the upper front and to the back, and a hole that penetrates, in decreasing size through the cover and the first four leaves. The front end page has a name, in ink, at its top.
There is no other writing, nor are there any stamps or other attachments. There are spot stains to a number of page faces, but no prominent stains, and no fade to any text. One leaf, pages 15 and 16, has tears, with missing sections, to its bottom. This damage doesn’t extend into the text (see photo). There are no other page tears, and no substantial creases.
The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages.
The accompanying photos are of this copy.
