This is number 33 of Lewis Rouse Jones’ 1973 printing of Edward Fitzgerald’s rendering into English of “The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam”, limited to 75 copies, the first 25 of which were bound by the artist, Susan Allix, who signed all 75 copies. Copies 26 through 75 were bound by Sangorski and Sutcliffe.
This copy is in near fine condition, the only flaw being light scuffs to the top and bottom edges of the spine at the back hinge. There are no tears or creases, no stains or other scuffs, no color fade. The only writings are the artist’s signature and the copy number.
The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages, including all tissue guards, all of which are in place (removed for the photos). All text and art are in fine condition.
