This is # 2 of an edition limited to 999, printed by Stamperia Valdonega, Verona, Italy, for TRI publishing, Kuwait, of a boxed, three-volume set, consisting of a facsimile of the arabic-language original, including all illustrations, in a cover of embossed brown leather, with gilt accents, of Ibn Zafer’s, “Sulwan al-Muta fi Udwan al-Atba”; a companion volume of the english translation (“Solwan or Waters of Comfort”) by Michele Amari; and an art historical essay by A. S. Melikian-Chirvani.
The box, brown cloth surface with gold title in a gold frame, has surface scuffs but no substantial stains, no tears or fade, and no structural weakness. The box interior, lined with patterned cloth, and with the limitation number, is like new.
The only flaws to the volumes themselves are a slight mustiness, as they’ve been in storage. They are being aired out. There is no mold, nor are there any other signs of deterioration.
There are no tears or creases, no stamps or writings other than the attached publication information and set number. The bindings are tight, with no loose or missing pages. All the art reproductions and all text are in fine condition.
The accompanying photos are of this set.
