.........................
This is the first edition, published by Delance (Paris) in 1806, of E. Chevalier’s Restauration et Aménagement des Forêts et Bois Particuliers (309 numbered pages), with all text in French.
The full leather cover is good overall, but with bumped corners and with three small spots of missing surface material, on the back cover (see photo). The gilt details show little fade. The title, on the spine, is clearly legible. The inside front cover has an inscription (which I can’t read), dated November 28th, 1889. That is the only writing. There are no stamps or other attachments. The first group of pages, to about page 50, have a stain line (see photo). There are several small stains to various pages, but most pages have none. All the text is clearly legible. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. There are no tears or notable creases. |
