This is the January, 1965 Club du Poème (Genèvè) publication of the Claude Aveline (Evgen Avtsine) and Ossip Zadkine collaboration, “Portrait de l’Oiseau-Qui-N’Existe-Pas & Autre Poèmes”, with Aveline poetry, printed by Fequet et Baudier and 18 lithographs by Zadkine, printed by Mourlot frères.
This is number 22 of 190 printed on vélin de Rives, out of a total printing of 198. This is numbered and signed by the poet and artist (see photo), and housed in a grey linen clamshell case, which has surface scuffs but no notable stains or tears. Inside this case is a loose hard cover, in the same grey linen, also with surface scuffs but no substantial wear. The book itself is in fine condition, with no flaws of note. The soft cover, heavyweight cream paper in a glassine wrap, has no tears, stains or fade. The unbound pages are in like condition, with no writing other than the above signatures, no stamps other than the copy number, no tears or creases, no stains or scuffs, no fade or other flaws to any art or lettering.
The accompanying photos are accurate reflections of the book conditions.
