This is the complete 70 volume Kehl “Oeuvres Completes de Voltaire”, published from 1785 to 1789.
The mottled calf covers, with red leather labels to the spines, are in good overall condition, but with wear to numerous hinges and joints. However, Volume 40 is the only one with an almost detached front cover, held only by one strand.
All back covers and all other front covers are holding, There are recurrent stains, most light. No lettering is obscured. The three engraved portraits, and 15 engraved plates show little fade.
