This is the Arthur Hall, Virtue & Co. 1854 two-volume publication of Rev. N. Davis’ account of his travels, “Evenings in My Tent; or, Wanderings in Balad Ejjareed” (336 + 365 body pages, plus 24 promotional pages), with numerous illustrations, including 3 full page color illustrations.
This set is in very good overall condition, with various minor defects, including shallow edge wear to the covers (app.5.25″ x8″), various spot or other small stains to the pages, minor creases, and library labels attached to the front inside covers and the spine bottoms. There are no substantial stains or notable tears, no fade to the illustrations or type. The binding is secure, with no loose or missing pages, though there are a few cracked gutters.
The only attachments, the library labels to the inside front covers and the library numbers attached to the spines, are from the Wisconsin Consistory Library.
The accompanying photos are of this set, and are accurate reflections of the set conditions.
