.........................
This is the stated first edition of Ralph Mannheim’s translation of Grimm’s “Dear Mili”, illustrated and signed by Maurice Sendak, and published by Michael di Capua and Farrar, Strous and Giroux in 1988.
The dust jacket, under mylar, has a few stains to its back, and one small scuff to the front, but is without fade to the art and lettering. It has no tears. The price is clipped from the front flap. The green cloth cover has slight sun fade to its top edge. It is otherwise as new. The inside is clean throughout, with no stains or scuffs, no tears or creases. The binding is tight, with no loose or missing pages. The only attachment is Sendak’s book plate, signed by him, on the front end page. All the art and text are like new.
The accompanying photos are of this copy.
