This is the 1718 publication of various writings of Raimondo de Montecuccoli (Aphorismi Generales de Arte Bellica, Aphorismi Militares Applicati, Aphorismi Reflexi, Systema Artis Militaris, plus a brief Bio ), assembled under the title Commentarii Bellici Raymundi (216 numbered pages).
The cover (app. 8″ x 12″) is worn to the end of the spine, and to the outside edges, scuffed, with missing pieces, on the leather spine, and scuffed to the patterned boards. However, the connection at the spine is secure, with no looseness to the front or back covers.
The inside front cover has an ex libris (King Lawrence Parker), and the adjacent page has a few pencil notations. There are no other stamps or attachments. There is no other writing. The binding is secure, with no loose pages. There are numerous stains, most light, and none that obscure the text or the many illustrations. There are a number of edge tears. Most pages have none. The accompanying photos are of this copy.
