This is the 1755 Chez Bailleux publication of l’ Abbé Roussier’s Observations sur Différens Points d’ Harmonie (248 numbered pages), with the multi-panel fold-out in place.
This is a worn but complete (248 numbered pages) copy, with a full leather cover that has stains, edge wear with missing surface areas, a spine that is missing most of its top layer, including most title lettering, and corners that are bumped, with some missing material (see photo). The connection at the spine is secure.
The inside cover spread has a few notations, and two numbers are inserted on the title page, but there are no stamps or other attachments, there or elsewhere, and no further written additions. The binding is secure, with no loose or missing pages. There are numerous creases, waffling to many pages, and a small number – I’ve found three- shallow edge tears. The most notable stains are to the borders of the inside cover spreads, which are darkened, and to a number of pages that are stained toward their top borders. Most pages have no substantial stains.
The red-dyed page edges are slightly faded but in good overall condition. All text is clearly legible. The fold-out illustration at the back of the book is in good condition (see photo).
