We seek, so that you might find books of enduring value.
The day of the ebook has arrived, and that isn’t all bad.
So many books (most books?) deserve, at best, passing attention. Light entertainment or sheer poppycock, shoddily printed and bound, wrapped in utilitarian covers that won’t last. A waste of paper, soon to be forgotten.
Other books, a small percentage, tell more interesting stories. Maybe the fonts and papers were carefully selected, or the cover has a unique elegance. Maybe there is remarkable art. Maybe they’ve survived hundreds of years. Maybe the author, the illustrator, or both have signed the work. Hopefully the content itself is substantial. Maybe all of the above.
These are the books for which
timelytales.com searches and makes available to those who enjoy the turn of a finely printed page, the look of an exquisite cover, writing that engages the mind. We hope you agree.
